After a successful audit in November 2005, LTE Logistik- und Transport-GmbH achieved the certificate DIN EN ISO 9001 in January 2006. Additionally the voluntary evaluation process on SQAS (Safety and Quality Assessment System) was finished successfully.
Security for transports with dangerous goods
LTE lives up to the maxim, handling transports of goods on railway with compliance of the worldwide approved quality standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2000. Because we know, that we have to transport dangerous goods, as a private rail transportation company in Austria, it was a matter of course for LTE, to systematically induct and apply pan-European approved security and quality rating systems of the chemical industry, like SQAS (Safety and Quality Assessment System).
Yearlong certification process
Over a period of about a year all organisational and technical processes of LTE were arranged with DIN EN ISO 9001 and SQAS-RAIL List of Questions, including about 500 articles. Particularly the management, the security, the health and environment protection, the quality, the equipment, the company, the system protection and the inspection of the operating establishment were demonstrable accomplished.
Thereby, LTE has established, also due to the enforceable guidelines in Austria, a security management system needed for the transportation security in the association of rail transport companies and also has accomplished a certification.
An extraordinary positive result was given to LTE in November 2005 by the DQS (German company for certification of management systems) which is an independent reporting organization and in the end that is an achievement not only by the great engagement of the company's management, but also practically by every employee.
First Austrian rail transportation company with SQAS
LTE is the first Austrian rail transportation company, which has made an examination, as a Corporation, of the company and the management according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and SQAS. This Honour for LTE mean to us obligations for the future, to assure every customer that we will fit in all their requirements and those processes of the LTE will advance, in the sense of a continuous process of improvement.
