LTE Logistik und Transport GmbH accomplishes excavation transports in course of building sites' logistic of the project "Lainzer Tunnel" of the Hochleistungsstrecken AG since 2002. The "Lainzer Tunnel" - a integral part of the contruction of the Austrian railway infrastructure.
To keep the burden for the surrounding citizens at a minimum, because of construction project in a densely populated residential area, a condition was imposed on the awarding authority HL-AG, in the course of the environmental compatibility test, that the incidental waste must be carried by train. Accordingly HL-AG announced a project to transport the arising excavation per train.
